Nukulai is a small island in the extreme south of Ha'apai in the Pacific . Politically, it belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga .
geography
The motu is in the Lulunga area . There are numerous other islets in the vicinity: Luanamo , ʻOʻua , Kongaloto , Tungua , Kito (Keetoo), and other reefs. The island has a very round floor plan.
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Ha'apai group, Nukulai is occasionally hit by cyclones .
