Nury Guarnaschelli

Nury Guarnaschelli (born November 15, 1966 in Santa Fe , Argentina ) is an Argentine horn player who works in Europe.

Live and act

At the age of eight, Guarnaschelli received horn lessons from her grandfather, Francisco Di Biasio. After she gave her first solo concert with orchestra with the 1st Horn Concerto by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at the age of 12 , she continued her solo and chamber music activities both in Argentina and in Europe, where she performed at various festivals.

From 1979 she studied with Guelfo Nalli in Buenos Aires and in 1981 took lessons with Antonio Iervolino in New York as a scholarship holder . Ms. Guarnaschelli then received a scholarship from 1984 to 1986 at the Karajan Academy in Berlin with Gerd Seifert , with whom she continued to study at the Berlin University of the Arts .

From 1984 to 1988 she was a permanent assistant with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra , the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the symphony orchestra. From 1988 to 1992 she was 1st solo horn with the Stuttgart Philharmonic . Since 1993 she has been solo horn with RSO Vienna and a member of Vienna Brass and Austrian Horns . From 2000 to 2003 she taught horn at the Josef Matthias Hauer Conservatory in Wiener Neustadt.

Prices

  • 1981: 1st prize at the Mozarteum Argentino in the VII Young Soloists Selection of the city of Mar del Plata .
  • 1982: 1st prize at the IX competition for young soloists in Santa Fe.
  • 1989: Konex Prize for Classical Music in Buenos Aires (Prize for the 100 most important personalities in the Argentine history of classical music).
  • 1991: 1st prize at the international horn competition Citta di Porcia e Alpe Adria in Italy.
