The O'Brien Provincial Park is a nature reserve in the western Canadian province of Alberta .
The only 65.22 ha large provincial park located 15 km south of the city of Grande Prairie near the village of Grovedale in the valley of the Wapiti River to about 520 m above sea level.
It was established on June 29, 1954 and is operated by Alberta Community Development .
O'Brien Provincial Park offers opportunities for water sports and fishing. Access is via the Bighorn Route and Alberta Highway 666 .
