The Ohalo College is a scientific college for kindergarten education , elementary school education and sports science in Katzrin on the Israel- occupied Golan Heights . The university has a water sports department on the Sea of Galilee south of Tiberias .
The college was founded in 1964 near Kibbutz Kvutzat Kinneret. After the Katzrin settlement was built on the Golan Heights in 1977, the university was relocated there in 1988. In 2010 the university was expanded to include a department for sustainable development and renewable energies.
The college has about 2000 students from Israel. The Department of Sports Science has spawned several Olympians in the field of water sports .
