The OHM Professional School (OPS) is the institute for in-service training at the Technical University of Nuremberg . More than 20 part-time, partly international, training courses are currently offered. The training courses are geared towards the fields of business administration, information technology, supply technology and social sciences. Master's and bachelor's degree courses as well as certificate courses, seminars, specialist meetings, colloquia, conferences and various in-house seminars are offered here.

history

In 2016 the OPS was founded as an independent institute of the Technical University of Nuremberg. To this end, the two existing institutions GSO-MI and Verbund IQ merged, whose courses have been offered under the name of the OHM Professional School since then . The courses and courses as well as seminars are offered part-time. The OPS works with around 100 professors from the Technical University of Nuremberg and other universities as well as around 100 business executives.

In 2000 the Verbund Ingenieur Qualifikation gGmbH (Verbund IQ) was founded as a subsidiary of the Technical University of Nuremberg. The non-profit company was specifically geared towards the further training needs of technical specialists and managers.

The series of Nuremberg Colloquia was launched in 2002. Divided into the topics of fire protection , sewer rehabilitation and drinking water supply . In-house exhibitions with up to 40 exhibitors take place alongside the events.

The Georg-Simon-Ohm Management Institute (GSO-MI) was founded in 2002 as an independent institution of the Technical University of Nuremberg and specialized in further academic training in the field of economics.

Cooperation takes place with the universities of Munich and Hof , the IHK Middle Franconia and the Association of the Metal and Electrical Industry, with the GEFMA and with regional and national companies such as DATEV , Siemens and Vibracoustic .

A double degree is offered in cooperation with Barry University ( Miami ) and a joint degree with Zhejiang University ( China ).
