The Obelisk Col is a 150 m high mountain pass in the shape of a mountain saddle on the West Antarctic James Ross Island . To the east of Cape Obelisk, it connects Rum Cove in the north with Röhss Bay to the south .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the passport in 1983 after the cape of the same name.
