The Rum Cove ( Spanish Caleta Martínez ) is a bay on the northwest coast of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It lies between the Tumbledown Cliffs and Cape Obelisk .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them after the rum on April 3, 1984, based on the naming of other geographical objects in the area that are named after alcoholic beverages .
