history

A place Appersdorf was first mentioned in a document in 860. The name is derived from "village of the abbot" and probably refers to the old property of the Tegernsee monastery in the village. In 1465 Nyder Appelstarff (now the neighboring hamlet of Unterappersdorf ) is mentioned. Appersdorf was the seat of a Hofmark , which also included the towns of Oberholzhäusln and Unterholzhäusln. The Hofmark was temporarily owned by the Au dominion .

In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria was created by the Gemeindeedikt the independent municipality from 1818 Appersdorf . At that time the name of the place was also Appersdorf . In 1904 at the latest it had become Oberappersdorf.

In 1972 the municipality of Appersdorf was dissolved and Oberappersdorf was incorporated into Zolling.
