Oberglaim is a district of the Ergolding market in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1978 it formed an independent municipality.

location

Oberglaim is located on the Feldbach about five kilometers northwest of Ergolding in the Danube-Isar hill country .

history

Oberglaim was initially not distinguished from Unterglaim. As early as 1250, the place name was "Our Women Glaim". In 1266 Konrad von Moosburg and Rottenburg , who was related to the abbess of Seligenthal monastery, gave the monastery the farms of Glaim and Sittelsdorf. This marked the beginning of the influence of the Cistercian convent for Glaim , which in 1346 granted Emperor Ludwig special protection for its own people. In 1573 the Hofmark "Unser-Frauen-Glaim" was owned by Seligenthal Abbey. The jurisdiction over the Sölden was often disputed, and a precise delimitation of competencies was required. Glaim formed an office in Rottenburg Court .

The community of Oberglaim, which emerged after secularization in Bavaria in the course of community formation, comprised 18 districts in 1868. It belonged to the Landshut district court and district office, from which the Landshut district emerged in 1939 . On May 1, 1978, the municipality of Oberglaim was incorporated into the Ergolding market in the course of the regional reform, except for the fiefdom part of the municipality.
