Oberon is a city and a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of New South Wales . The city has about 2,500 inhabitants (as of 2011) and is located on Lake Oberon of the same name . Oberon is in the Blue Mountains . About 30 km from the city is the Kanangra Boyd National Park .
