Oberschambach is a district of the municipality of Saal an der Donau in the Lower Bavarian district of Kelheim .

The church village of Oberschambach is located in the Hallertau about five kilometers south of Saal.
history
Oberschambach and the neighboring village of Unterschambach formed the independent municipality of Schambach in the Kelheim district office. It was merged with the community of Einmuß with the announcement of the State Ministry of the Interior on December 30, 1938 , after this connection had already been discussed in 1923. With the municipality of Einmuß, Oberschambach came to the municipality of Saal an der Donau on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

- Filial church of St. Sebastian. The hall church , built in 1719 with a gable roof and a retracted box choir, has a baroque nave with medieval parts. The east tower with stepped gable is Romanesque and has a Gothic upper floor.
