The Oberstein-Idarer Electricity Company (OIE) is an energy supplier based in Idar-Oberstein .

In 1899 the then Oberstein-Idarer Elektrizitäts-Aktiengesellschaft (OIE) was founded to supply the region with electrical energy. The company's headquarters are in Hauptstrasse 189 in Idar-Oberstein. The original building was erected in 1900. This was torn down and replaced in 1994 by a new building at the confluence of the Vollmersbach and the Idarbach. The OIE is now part of the RWE Group. Westnetz has been taking care of the OIE's distribution network since 2013 .
