Emiliano Alfaro , full name Emiliano Alfaro Toscano , (born April 28, 1988 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

The 1.73-meter-tall offensive player Alfaro belonged to Liverpool Montevideo at the beginning of his career from 2006 . In the 2008/09 season he scored ten or twelve hits in the Primera División there, depending on the sources . In the Apertura 2009, the last half series before his move, he played 15 top division games, scored 13 times in the opposing goal and was also used twice (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2009 . For the entire period from 2005 to 2009, 28 goals in 82 first division appearances were made for him. In January 2010 he ran for the first time for the Argentine club San Lorenzo . Across the seasons he was used there 18 times in the Primera División in 2010 and scored two goals. Since the Clausura 2011, in which he met five times in 13 first division appearances, he was back in the ranks of Liverpool Montevideo. After seven goals in twelve completed first division games in the Apertura 2011 and two appearances (one goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2011 , he moved to Lazio in January 2012 . For the Italians, he was used eight times in Serie A in the 2011/12 season . But he did not succeed in scoring. In mid-September 2012 he was loaned to Al Wasl . For the team from the United Arab Emirates he was very accurate and scored 17 goals in 24 appearances in the 2012/13 season . He also scored six personal goals in eight games in the Emirates Cup . At the beginning of July 2013 he returned to Lazio Rome. Without any further competitive appearances in the meantime for the first team of the Romans, he was finally loaned to Liverpool Montevideo at the end of August 2014, which had meanwhile been relegated to the Segunda División . There he advanced to the top scorer of the second-highest Uruguayan league with 21 goals in 27 league appearances with a four-goal lead over his teammate Junior Arias in the second division season 2014/15 and thus played a significant role in the club's rise again at the end of the season. In mid-August 2015, he left the Montevideans and joined Buriram United from Thailand. In August 2016 he moved to NorthEast United FC in India , for whom he scored five goals in 13 league appearances. In mid-January 2017, the United Arab Emirates-based club Dibba Al Fujairah signed him . In July 2017 he moved to the Indian club Pune City, coached by Antonio Habas .

National team

Alfaro was a member of Uruguay 's U-17 team coached by Gustavo Ferrín . With this he took part in the U-17 South American Championship in Venezuela in 2005 and became vice South American champion. In the group game against Chile he scored a goal there. At the U-17 World Cup in 2005 , he was also in the Uruguayan squad. In the course of the World Cup tournament, he played two international matches. He was later called up to the Uruguayan U-20 national team and was part of the squad at the 2007 U-20 World Cup .

He made his debut on November 15, 2011 in a 1-0 away win in the friendly against Italy under coach Óscar Tabárez in the Uruguayan senior team , when he came on in the 83rd minute for Sebastián Fernández . No further international appearances followed.
