The Oberstjägermeisterbach is a brook in the English Garden in Munich .

course

The 5500 meter long watercourse branches off from the Eisbach north of Himmelreichstrasse ( Lage ) . 150 meters further on ( Lage ), part of the water flows over the Entenbach in the direction of the Schwabinger Bach , but the larger part flows in the direction of Kleinhesseloher See . This section branches in turn: on the one hand into the lake, on the other hand in the east past the lake. At the Sckell monument, water flows back into the stream from the lake. It crosses under the middle ring and then flows towards the northeast. Then the Obere Wehrbach brings water from the Schwabinger Bach again. Shortly afterwards, the small stream ( Lage ) divides and forms an island (bird protection island). The part that passes southeast of the island is now called Reitbach . Soon afterwards, the Lower Wehrbach absorbs a large part of the water and runs towards the Oberföhring weir . The Oberstjägermeisterbach flows in the continuation of the 4.29 km mushrooms Weiher ( location ), the duck pond case ( position ) and the dragonfly pond ( location ) and then flows east of Aumeisters back in the Schwabing Bach ( location ).

Data

  • Water flow: 1 m³ / s
  • Stream width: between 4 m and 7 m
  • seven sleepers
  • Flow speed: highly variable due to the different widths and the bed sills

Bank vegetation

The Oberstjägermeisterbach is overgrown with a species-rich population of deciduous trees along its entire stretch. A black poplar with a trunk diameter of about one meter south of the Milchhäusl is interesting . In front of the Föhringer weir, the brook forms a small meadow landscape . There are also some ponds here .
