Oberweiler is a district of the Illerkirchberg community in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg . The hamlet is about two kilometers south of Oberkirchberg .

history

Oberweiler is first mentioned in a document in 1617. The place belonged to Count Fugger .

In the course of the Baden-Württemberg regional reform , Oberweiler came on April 1, 1972 through the voluntary amalgamation of the then independent municipalities of Oberkirchberg, to which it belonged, and Unterkirchberg to form the newly founded municipality of Illerkirchberg.
