The Oblates of St. Francis de Sales are a religious community within the Catholic Church. They were founded in Troyes , France , in 1866 by Louis Brisson and Leonie Aviat .

The Sisters Oblates live according to the spirituality of St. Francis de Sales ( Salesian Spirituality ). Their main task is the education of children and young people. You therefore lead boarding schools , schools and kindergartens all over the world (e.g. USA , Ecuador , Namibia , South Africa , Austria , Switzerland , France , Italy ) . In doing so, they want to promote the human, social and Christian development of those entrusted to them. Through upbringing and teaching, through accompaniment in boarding schools and homes as well as through cooperation in the parishes, the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales promote the development of a life based on faith in every age group, in every class and in all situations. There are currently around 350 sisters.
