The Obruchev Hills ( Russian Холмы Обручева Cholmy Obrutschewa , German 'Obruchev Hills' ) are a group of rounded hills on the coast of the East Antarctic Queen Marie Land . They loom between the Denman Glacier and the Scott Glacier .

Participants of the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson roughly mapped them for the first time. More detailed mapping was carried out using aerial photographs of the US American Operation Highjump (1946-1947) and a Soviet Antarctic expedition from 1956. Participants on the latter research trip named them after the Soviet geologist Vladimir Afanassjewitsch Obruchev (1863-1956). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names translated this designation into English in 1967.
