The Oceanis 31 is a series- produced sailing yacht from the French manufacturer Bénéteau . It has been on the market since 2008. In 2009, this model was voted “Europe's Yacht of the Year” in the Family Cruiser category by 20 European trade magazines, including the German yacht .
Construction and construction
The fuselage is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP); vinyl ester is used for the outer layers . The deck is made in a sandwich construction with a balsa wood core in a vacuum infusion process . Design and construction come from FinotiConq . There are two keel versions : a shallow keel with a 1.30 meter draft and the standard version with a 1.80 meter draft. In the cockpit there is a steering position with wheel steering. The standard version of the Oceanis 31 is equipped with a diesel tank with 130 liters, a water tank with 290 liters and a motor with 15 kW power.
Facility
The standard version has two cabins and a wet room. In the foredeck there is a double bed with a length of 2.06 meters and a shoulder width of 1.55 meters. The aft berth in the aft cabin is installed across the direction of travel. The aft cabin is 2.08 meters long and 1.67 meters wide in the head area. The galley is arranged in an L-shape on the port side . The saloon table can be folded, but not lowered. The saloon bench on the port side is 1.74 meters long and up to 0.52 meters wide, on the starboard side it is 1.95 meters long and 0.70 meters wide. The wet room is located amidships on the port side and the chart table is on the starboard side.
Sails
The standard version of the yacht is equipped with a fully battened mainsail , a furling mainsail was available as an option, the sheet is guided on a winch on the companionway. The furling genoa is slightly overlapping at 105%. The sails load rating is 4.3.
Classification according to German law
- The sailing yacht does not have to be registered as it is less than 15 m long.
- The sailing yacht is not subject to inland shipping registration because it does not displace 15 m³ .
