The Odenwald-Regional-Gesellschaft mbH (OREG) is the central business development company in the Odenwaldkreis , including the local public transport company in the Odenwaldkreis in Hesse . The seat is in Erbach .
The company, which was founded on December 23, 1994, still existed alongside the local transport division

Jürgen Walther was the managing director of OREG from January 1, 1996 to September 30, 2016. After controversies about the location marketing of the OREG for the Odenwaldkreis, the newly elected district council of the Odenwaldkreis decided to restructure the OREG in 2015. After Jürgen Walther left, Detlef Kuhn took over as interim managing director on October 1, 2016. With the exception of local public transport , the websites of the business branches have been integrated into the Odenwaldkreis website.
As an economic development agency, it supports the district with business start-up and location advice, funding acquisition, mentoring, securing skilled workers and advice on company handover.
The Odenwald-Regional-Gesellschaft and its partner companies publish a location magazine for the Odenwaldkreis twice a month with a circulation of 68,000 copies, it reports on topics from the fields of economy, labor and social affairs, health and care as well as technology and innovations.
Marius Schwabe has been the managing director of OREG since October 2017. His deputy is Detlef Kuhn. The chairman of the supervisory board is Andreas Funken (district member). His deputy is Rüdiger Holschuh.
