The Odinokaya Nunatak ( English ; Russian Гора Одинокая Gora Odinokaja , German 'Lonely Mountain' ) is a small and isolated Nunatak in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Mühlig-Hofmann Mountains, it rises 25 km northwest of the Jaren mountain range .
Norwegian cartographers mapped it on the basis of surveys and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960). Scientists on a Soviet Antarctic expedition mapped it again in 1961 and gave it its name. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred this in 1970 in an adapted partial translation into English.
