Oeillade Blanche

Oeillade Blanche ( French spelling: Œillade Blanche) is an autochthonous white wine variety from Provence in France . While the variety used to be widespread throughout the Mediterranean region, its current distribution is limited to around ten hectares . New plantings of vineyards with this variety are currently (2005) not known. The late-ripening variety is permitted in the appellations Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Palette . In the 17th and 18th centuries she was one of the blending partners for the production of Picardan, a sweet white wine from Languedoc .

The grape varieties Oeillade Rose and Oeillade Noire are not related varieties.
