The bay can be reached by bus several times a day from Sant Antoni de Portmany , Ibiza Town and Sant Josep. By car, Cala Vadella can be reached in half an hour from Ibiza Airport, and from Sant Josep de sa Talaia in around 15 minutes.

description

The bay's fine sandy beach is approx. 200 m long and up to 75 m wide. The water quality of Cala Vadella is regularly awarded the blue flag for good water quality. The bay has the appearance of a natural swimming pool due to the fact that it is bordered by rocky steep slopes from the north and south. This is associated with both good protection from high waves and only a low current in the bay. The beach in Cala Vadella slopes very gently into the sea. It is quite possible to walk up to 50 meters into the water without having to swim. There are restaurants and boutiques right on the beach. On the north side there are some fishermen's huts, some of which have been renovated down to the last detail and are still in use.

Around the bay

At the back of the Cala Vadella there are several restaurants, from simple bocadillo stands to fine dining. There are also boutiques and smaller supermarkets in the vicinity of the beach. There are several hotel and apartment complexes on the rear slopes of the bay.

Freetime activities

Several diving schools, a pedal boat and jet ski rental and several car rental companies have settled in the area around the bay . From a landing stage at the southern end of the bay you can take boat trips in a former fishing boat to the island of Es Vedrà on the west coast of Ibiza and on the west coast in a northerly direction along the many small bays. The natural hinterland of Cala Vadella is ideal for hiking. From Cala Vadella, both Cala Carbo , Cala d´Hort and Cala Moli can be easily reached by a long walk.
