Ofer Nimrodi (born May 23, 1957 in Iran ) is an Israeli lawyer , publisher and entrepreneur . Together with other members of the Nimrodi family, he dominates various companies in the media (especially the daily Maariv , since 1992) and in the real estate sector .

He was, after he had paid the penalty of imprisonment from October 1998 to February 1999 due to eavesdropping offense, more than a year in custody , u. a. on suspicion of attempted contract killings, forgery of documents and obstruction of justice. He then received a relatively light prison sentence within the framework of an agreement in criminal proceedings that was permissible in Israel , which was largely canceled by the pre-trial detention.

Ofer Nimrodi is married and has six children.
