The Off-Theater nrw is a state-recognized academy for theater , dance and culture in accordance with the Further Education Act . She has been conducting advanced training in theater education , dance education , clowning and cultural management since 1995 at her headquarters in Neuss as well as in Düsseldorf , Meerbusch and Essen . It is certified according to the seal of approval for further training in North Rhine-Westphalia and according to the AZAV Accreditation and Admission Ordinance for Employment Promotion .

Training courses and fields of work

The graduates of the advanced and training courses in theater education, dance education, clowning and cultural management are concerned with conveying art and culture to people of all ages. They work in cultural institutions such as state or independent theaters, museums, dance, ballet, music and youth art schools, in other cultural, educational and social institutions as well as in personnel development.

Training in theater education

The training to become a theater pedagogue BuT is recognized by the Federal Association of Theater Education (BuT) and comprises a total of 1700 hours of instruction. Alternatively, basic training is also offered, which comprises 600 teaching hours and which can then be deepened through advanced training of 1,100 teaching hours, which also leads to the degree in theater pedagogue BuT. The following main topics are dealt with: Basics of acting, body expression, voice training , role work, directing and staging, text analysis, dramaturgy, dramatic writing, theory of theater and theater history, movement theater, dance and dance theater, improvisational theater , spoken theater, play-along theater, mask theater, playback theater, biographical theater , Choral theater, performance, post-dramatic theater, methodology / didactics of theater pedagogy and theory of theater pedagogical guidance as well as trial lessons and external practical projects. The teaching and acting methods of Konstantin Sergejewitsch Stanislawski , Bertolt Brecht and Augusto Boal are important reference points of the training .

Training in dance pedagogy

The training to become a dance teacher is recognized by the German Cultural Council / Advisory Board for Dance and comprises 600 lessons. The main focus of the lessons are: movement theory and movement analysis according to Rudolf von Laban , movement rituals according to Anna Halprin , anatomy and physiology, rhythmic-musical basics, elementary and creative dance, dance styles and dance techniques such as jazz, modern, afro, hip-hop, contact and dance theater, dance design, Dance composition and choreography, dance theory and dance history, group work and group dynamics, basics in education, psychology and movement therapy, methodology / didactics of dance education as well as trial lessons and external practical projects.

Advanced training in clowning / clinic clown

The basic and advanced training in the fields of clowning and clinic clown qualify for the fields of activity as stage, magic, street and clinic clown. They each consist of 160 lessons.

Training: The Augusto Boals Theater

The training aims to enable an examination of Augusto Boal's understanding of theater and to convey his classical and newer theater methods in theory and practice. The advanced training consists of 100 lessons.

Cultural management training

The cultural management training course comprises 192 hours of instruction and imparts skills in the areas of business administration, marketing, sponsoring, project and self-management, public relations, social media, as well as cultural policy and law.
