The Ohio Range is a mountain range about 30 miles long and 10 miles wide in Marie-Byrd Land in western Antarctica . As the northeastern end of the Horlick Mountains , it extends in a west-southwest-east-northeast orientation from Eldridge Peak to Mirsky Ledge . It consists mainly of large, snow-capped plateaus with steep cliffs sloping to the north, as well as some flattened ridges and peaks.

The area was mapped from 1958 to 1959 as part of the United States Antarctic Program and examined from 1960 to 1961 and 1961 to 1962 by geologists from the Institute for Polar Studies at Ohio State University , which gave the mountain its name.
