Mount Schopf is a 2990  m high, elongated, table mountain -like and mainly ice-covered mountain in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It rises east of the Buckeye Table in the Ohio Range .

The area was geodetically investigated by the United States Geological Survey in December 1958. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain in 1962 after the American geologist James M. Schopf (1911-1978), who was a member of the survey from 1961 to 1962 and carried out field research had performed in the Horlick Mountains .
