The Ohlandsburg is an Outbound hilltop castle on 380 m above sea level. NN about 1.3 km north of the Bad Camberger district Schwickershausen in the Limburg-Weilburg district on the hill named after her in the forests of the Taunus . The originally existing ramparts are still faintly recognizable, only visible on the ground at a height of 10 cm to 20 cm. Most clearly to be seen is a section wall that separates the castle area from the mountain ridge in the southeast. This is the edge of the system that is at risk of attack. On the other sides the ridge drops off comparatively steeply. There is a quarry in the immediate vicinity.
The function of the system is unknown. The time position has also not been researched.
Monument protection
The area of the ramparts is a ground monument according to the Hessian Monument Protection Act . Investigations and targeted collection of finds are subject to approval, and accidental finds are reported to the monument authorities.
