history
The first documentary mention dates back to 1185. The St. Stephen's Church was built in the 16th century . Ohrsleben, which was independent until 2004, was incorporated into the municipality of Hötensleben on January 1, 2005.

The coat of arms was approved on May 16, 1994 by the Magdeburg Regional Council. Blazon : “A golden bear in blue.” The golden bear embodies an old legend that has grown up around the old ear life. The place is still popularly referred to as "Bear Country". The color blue corresponds to the tradition of the municipality, which has been able to prove this color for over 100 years. Gold was added for heraldic reasons. The coat of arms was designed by the Heraldic Society "Black Lion" in Leipzig.
