Location of Oiste in Lower Saxony

Oiste is a district of the municipality Blender in the Lower Saxony joint municipality Thedinghausen in the district of Verden . The place is on the east flowing Weser and 2 km southeast of the core town of Blender. The Blender Emte , a left tributary of the Weser, flows on the western edge of the village .

history

The first written mention of Oistes goes back to the year 860. From 1885 to 1932 Oiste belonged to the district of Hoya and thus to the administrative district of Hanover . During 1932, the district of Hoya merged with the neighboring district of Syke to form the county of Hoya , Oiste was spun off into the district of Verden . It now belonged to the administrative district of Stade . On July 1, 1972, it lost its independence and was incorporated into the community of Blender and the newly founded joint community of Thedinghausen .
