The integrated municipality Thedinghausen is the only integrated municipality in the Verden district in Lower Saxony and is located on the Weser .

It includes the three communities Blender , Emtinghausen , Riede and its administrative seat Thedinghausen .

The integrated community of Thedinghausen is located to the left of the Weser in the northern Central Weser region .

Structure of the integrated community

history

Today's Thedinghausen community came into being on July 21, 1972 through the merger of five member communities. These themselves arose from the local reform in 1972 from 18 formerly independent communities in the former administrative districts of Braunschweig , Grafschaft Hoya and Verden . On November 1, 2006, the communities Thedinghausen and Morsum merged to form the new community Thedinghausen; since then the combined community has only consisted of four member communities.

Joint council

The council of the Thedinghausen community consists of 30 councilors and councilors. This is the specified number for a municipality with a population between 12,001 and 15,000. The council members are elected for a five-year term by local elections. The current term of office began on November 1, 2016 and ends on October 31, 2021.

The full-time Mayor of the Joint Community, Harald Hesse, is also entitled to vote in the Council of the Joint Community.

Joint mayor of the municipality

The full-time mayor of the Thedinghausen community is the non-party individual Harald Hesse. He took office on November 1, 2014 and is elected until October 31, 2021.
