The Okonjati Wildlife Reserve english Okonjati Game Reserver , even Okonyati / Okonjati Game Sanctuary , is an approximately 360 square kilometers of private nature reserve in the region Otjozondjupa in Namibia .
description
Okonjtati was founded in 1975 by Jan Oelofse . The park sits down v. a. for the protection of the endangered hippos and also provides a home for hundreds of different bird species, over 20 antelope species, elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos and many other rare animals. Petrified dinosaur tracks can be seen in the park.
The Etjo and Klein-Etjo mountains are located in the Okonjati wildlife sanctuary . Mount Etjo gained great fame through the peace talks on Namibia's independence in 1989 .
The Mount Etjo Safari Lodge is located in the reserve .
