The Oksfjord ( North Sami : Ákšovuotna) is an eastern branch of the Reisafjord . It is located in the municipality of Nordreisa in the province of Troms og Finnmark in northern Norway .

The fjord

It is about 4 km long and 1.5 km wide and stretches from immediately south of the Reisafjord mouth to the east to the small settlement of Oksfjordhamn (also simply called Oksfjord), where the Fiskelva flows from Lake Ákšovuonjávri, which is just 1 km further east flows into the Oksfjord.

The European route 6 , coming from the south-east along the north bank of the Ákšovuonjávri, crosses the Fiskelva at Oksfjordhamn to the south and then runs along the south bank of the Oksfjord and the east bank of the Straumfjord (another branch of the Reisafjord) to Storslett , the administrative seat of the municipality of Nordreisa.
