Oksfjordhamn

Oksfjordhamn (also simply called Oksfjord ) is a settlement in the municipality of Nordreisa , Troms og Finnmark Province , Norway . The place is north of the Arctic Circle at the eastern end of the Oksfjord , an eastern branch of the Reisafjord , between Alta and Tromsø on the European route 6 (E 6), where this crosses the Fiskelva, the outflow of the lake, between the Oksfjord and the lake Ákšovuonjávri. Storslett , the administrative seat of the municipality of Nordreisa, is about 20 km further southwest at the southern end of the Reisafjord.

The E 6 comes along the north bank of the Ákšovuonjávri from Alta and, after crossing the Fiskelva, runs along the south bank of the Oksfjord and the east bank of the Straumfjord (another tributary of the Reisafjord) along to Storslett and on to Bardufoss and Narvik .
