Olaf Blab

Olaf Blab (born September 8,  1964 in Munich ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Blab, whose brother Uwe was a German national player and played in the NBA , went to the United States as a teenager and played basketball at Charleston High School (State of Illinois ). In 1984 the 2.13 meter tall indoor player moved to the University of Illinois , where he became a teammate of his compatriot Jens Kujawa  . In the 1984/85 season he did not take part in the game operation, between 1985 and 1987 Blab then played 22 games for Illinois and scored an average of 0.9 points per game. From spring 1987 to 1989 he then played for the University of Evansville and scored an average of 1.5 points in 42 missions.

After his return to Germany he strengthened SSV / SB Ulm in the 1989/90 season and from 1990 to 1992 MTV 1846 Giessen in the basketball league . In the game year 1992/93 he was in the squad of the Bundesliga club Alba Berlin .

After his basketball career, Blab lived a retired period in France and had no contact with his brother Uwe for years. Blab later moved back to his hometown Munich.
