Olaf Rösler

Olaf Rösler (* 1970 ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Rösler practiced table tennis as a youngster at MTV Seesen and joined the sport of basketball at the age of 17. The 2.02 meter indoor player moved from Seesen to MTV Wolfenbüttel , for whom he played for several years in the 2nd basketball division before moving to the neighboring Bundesliga club SG Braunschweig in the 1997/98 season. There he played under head coach Bill Magarity and was used in seven games in the top German division before he returned to Wolfenbüttel during the season. Later Rösler was assistant coach under Benjamin Travnizek for the Dukes Wolfenbüttel in the 2011/12 season . In the colors of the SG Wolfenbüttel he took part in competitions in the senior men's area.
