Benjamin Travnizek

Benjamin Travnizek (born July 8, 1981 ) is a German basketball coach.

career

Travnizek was the coach of the Nuremberg basketball club in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . Before that he was the coach of the Dukes Wolfenbüttel ( 2nd Bundesliga ProB ) and the Junior Phantoms , the NBBL youth team of SG Braunschweig , the cooperation partner of the Bundesliga club New York Phantoms Braunschweig . After the leave of absence of the former coach of the Dukes Nestor Katsagiorgis , Travnizek also coached and trained the Pro B team alongside his old team. He thus entered into competition with the senior team of SG Braunschweig, which took part in Pro B as Spot Up Medien Braunschweig .

In the summer of 2010 he moved to Nuremberg as assistant coach from Derrick Taylor , took over as head coach of NBC's NBBL team and was the sporting director of the club's performance teams. After he was the head coach of the Dukes of Wolfenbüttel between 2011 and 2013, he returned to Nuremberg in November 2013 and replaced the dismissed head coach Martin Ides. Travnizek remained in office until the end of the 2013/14 season.

Then he took over the coaching position of the 1st men's team of SG Braunschweig. In the 2016/17 season he was promoted to the 2nd regional league and won the Lower Saxony Basketball Association Cup. For the 2018/19 season, Travnizek switched to the coaching position at the Regionalliga-promoted SC Langenhagen.
