Olav Skjevesland (born May 31, 1942 in Drøbak ; † September 8, 2019 ) was a bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Norway until his retirement in 2012 .

Skjevesland studied Protestant theology at the Menighetsfakultet (parish faculty ) in Oslo and passed the theological candidate exam in 1967. After his ordination in 1969 he worked in parishes in Oslo and Nøtterøy and as a lecturer at the Diakonhjemmet . In 1979 he returned to the Menighets Faculty as a lecturer and worked there from 1981 as rector of the practical theological seminar, from 1994 as professor of practical theology . In 1998 he was elected bishop of the southern Norwegian diocese of Agder (since 2005 diocese of Agder and Telemark ). He took office on January 1, 1999 and retired in 2012. From 2006 to 2010 he was elected chairman of the Bishops' Conference (Norw. Preses i bispemøtet ).
