Olav Sunde (born August 17, 1903 in Oslo ; † November 10, 1985 ibid) was a Norwegian athlete who was successful in javelin throwing in the 1920s and 1930s. Between 1924 and 1939 he was able to place a total of 13 times in the Norwegian championships:

He won his only international medal at the 8th Summer Olympics in Amsterdam in 1928 , where he came in third with 63.97 m (victory distance of the Swede Erik Lundqvist : 66.60 m). Although he achieved his personal best four years later with 67.04 m, he succeeded in the IX. At the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles only a modest 60.81 m, which meant 9th place (victory distance of the Finn Matti Järvinen : 72.71 m).
