Oldřich Kotyza (born December 30, 1994 ) is a Czech grass skier . He started in 2011 for the first time in the World Cup and at a World Championship .

Career

After Kotyza had participated in junior races from 2007, including the Czech Cup, he started in July / August 2009 at the Junior World Championships in Horní Lhota u Ostravy , but only finished in the slalom and giant slalom in the bottom field. Further international competitions did not follow initially. In the 2010 season he only took part in regional races such as the Czech Republic Cup. On August 6, 2011 Kotyza started in the Czech Předklášteří for the first time in two FIS races and the day after at the same location in his first and in the 2011 season only World Cup race . In this slalom he took 16th place, which he immediately won World Cup points. Four weeks later, Kotyza took part in the 2011 World Championship and the Junior World Championship in Goldingen , Switzerland, which was held at the same time . In the juniors he achieved two placements in midfield with 13th place in giant slalom and 18th place in Super-G, while he reached 12th place in the general class in slalom, but only finished 32nd and last in giant slalom. In the 2012 season, Kotyza did not take part in any competitions.
