Ole Wendroth

Ole Wendroth (* 1961 ) is a German agricultural scientist and university professor.

Life

Wendroth completed his school education at the Paul-Gerhardt-Schule Dassel in 1980 . In 1981/1982 he did an agricultural apprenticeship. At the University of Göttingen he completed his diploma in agricultural science in 1987 and his doctorate with Wilfried Ehlers in 1990 with a thesis on the subject of coefficients of water and gas transport for the derivation of parameters of the soil structure . As part of the DAAD program, he was at the University of California, Davis in 1990/1991 , where he also worked as a postdoc in 1991/1992 .

In 1992 he moved with his family to Müncheberg and worked as a researcher at the Leibniz Center for Agricultural Landscape Research from 1992 to 2004 . During this period he completed his habilitation at the TU Berlin in 2001 .

From 2004 to 2012 he was an Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky . He has been professor of soil physics there ever since .

His research focuses on biomass and the transport processes of liquids in the ground. For this he made numerous publications.
