Oleg Georgievich Sorochtin

Oleg Georgievich Sorochtin ( Russian Олег Георгиевич Сорохтин ; born May 17, 1927 in Vyshny Volochok ; † June 21, 2010 in Moscow ) was a Russian geologist . He put 1971 on the hypothesis that the Earth's core from Fe 2 O stocks.

Life

Sorochtin graduated from the Leningrad Mining Institute in 1951 . From 1951 to 1955 he worked at Gidroprojekt . After that he was at the Institute of Earth Physics of the USSR. From 1957 to 1964 he took part in the Soviet Antarctic expeditions. From 1964 to 2005 he was head of the plate tectonics department at the Institute for Oceanography, called Schirschow . Towards the end of his life he was one of the deniers of man-made climate change.
