Oleksandr Pekluschenko

Oleksandr Mykolaiowytsch Pekluschenko ( Ukrainian Олександр Миколайович Пеклушенко ; born August 29, 1954 in Zaporizhia ; † March 12, 2015 in Sonjachne ) was a Ukrainian politician .

Life

Pekluschenko belonged to the Party of Regions and sat for them from November 23, 2007 to April 13, 2012 in the Verkhovna Rada . There he acted as deputy chairman of the faction of his party. He was also governor of Zaporizhia Oblast from 2011 to 2014 .

On March 12, 2015, Pekluschenko was found dead in the village of Sonjachne. The authorities assume suicide . Investigations were underway against Pekluschenko because he was accused of ordering violence against anti-government protesters in Zaporizhia in early 2014.
