Olga Vladimirovna Samulenkova

Olga Wladimirowna Samulenkowa ( Russian Ольга Владимировна Самуленкова ; born June 30, 1978 in Leningrad ) is a former Russian rower .

She won the bronze medal at the 1999 World Rowing Championships with the double scull with Oksana Dorodnowa , Julija Lewina and Larissa Merk . In 2004 she took part in the Olympic Games in Athens. With Julija Kalinowskaja , she finished tenth in the double scull. At the World Rowing Championships in 2005 , she started again in double fours and won bronze with Oksana Dorodnowa, Larissa Merk and Irina Fedotowa . At the rowing world championships in 2006 the Russians even came first. However, Samulenkova had recently tested positive for steroids in a doping control . She was banned for two years and the gold medal was awarded to the British boat. After her suspension, Samulenkova won the silver medal at the European Rowing Championships in 2008 with Larissa Merk, Oksana Dorodnowa and Julija Kalinowskaja.
