Olho Marinho is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Óbidos . It has 1279 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

history

Finds prove a prehistoric settlement of the region. The current village was probably created during the Reconquista , first mentioned in the 12th century. The listed Baroque chapel Ermida de Nossa Senhora do Amparo dates from the 16th century .
