The district of Leiria ( Distrito de Leiria ) is a district in Portugal , which is composed of parts of the two traditional provinces of Beira Litoral and Estremadura . The neighboring districts are Coimbra in the north, Castelo Branco and Santarém in the east and Lisbon in the south. In the west, the Leiria district borders the Atlantic Ocean .
