The District of Castelo Branco ( Distrito de Castelo Branco ) is a district in Portugal that is part of the traditional province of Beira Baixa (which in turn is the southern part of Beira Interior ). The neighboring districts are Guarda in the north, Portalegre and Santarém in the south and Leiria and Coimbra in the west. In the east, the Castelo Branco district borders on Spain .
