Oliver Emert
Oliver "Ollie" Emert (born December 9, 1902 - † August 13, 1975 in Oxnard , California ) was an American production designer who won the Oscar for best production design for the black and white film Who disturbs the nightingale (1962) at the 1963 Academy Awards won.
Life
Emert his career in 1945 began as a production designer in the film industry in Hollywood in the film drama The love of our lives (This Love of Ours) and worked until 1969 at the scenic equipment of over one hundred films.
Together with Alexander Golitzen and Henry Bumstead , he received the 1963 Oscar for best production design in the black and white film Who Disrupts the Nightingale (1962) based on the novel by Harper Lee , directed by Robert Mulligan with Gregory Peck , Mary Badham and Phillip Alford was filmed.
