Oliver Johanndrees (born January 10, 1965 in Lippstadt , North Rhine-Westphalia) is a draftsman and illustrator of the science fiction novel series Perry Rhodan .

Even before training as a surveying technician and working as a software developer and network administrator, Johanndrees started working on the Perry-Rhodan series in 1978/1979. Until he left the company at the end of 2007, he published more than 140 drawings, posters, articles, cover picture covers and articles, and thus contributed significantly to the visual design of the weekly issues. In the course of this career he was - together with Georg Joergens - a pioneer in the field of “Computer Aided Cutaway” (CAC), ie for crack drawings that were created exclusively on the computer. Around 2000 he was also responsible for the design of four spaceship models , which were created in cooperation with Revell , a company specializing in model kits. From 2000 to 2004 he was a. a. responsible as layouter for the publication of the fandom magazines “SOL” and “phantastisch!”. His last release so far was a spaceship color poster for the Ren Dhark SF series . Oliver Johanndrees (CLP10 - Novell Certified Linux Professional) is currently involved in the open source scene by publishing specialist articles, as the founder of a local Linux user group and is an active blogger.
