Oliver Soravia is an Italian cameraman , musician and film director .

Life

Soravia completed his camera and directing studies at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome and then worked as a freelance cameraman in the fields of TV documentaries and short films .

In 1992 he founded his production company XACTFILM GmbH in Cologne . There he built up the production divisions of advertising, TV editing and the rental of TV technology and personnel. In addition to his work as a freelance cameraman, he produced advertising films in his company for companies such as Lufthansa , American Airlines , Mercedes-Benz and Virgin Atlantic . The two other XACTFILM areas were carried out by permanent and freelance employees and for customers such as ARD , ZDF , RTL , RAI and BBC . In the early 2000s, an external production office was also set up for the implementation of a TV series pilot. Soravia acted as the screenwriter of the mystery novel "Cuckoo Crow". Until the company was sold in 2016, XACTFILM had a total of around 100 employees.

In 2008, Soravia visualized the German-Turkish film production “Sari Saten” by Mehmet Coban as one of the first high-resolution digital cinema productions in 4K format and initiated and monitored the world's first 4K digital intermediate. As a musician, Soravia released three albums and one digital album. He is responsible for the compositions, all instruments and the production.

Soravia has a son and lives with his family in Germany and the Canaries .
