Olivia Bee
Olivia Bolles , stage name Olivia Bee , (born April 5, 1994 in Portland (Oregon) , USA ) is an American photographer .
Life
Bee is the daughter of a hairdresser and a technician and grew up in her hometown. She took her first photography course at the age of 11. At the age of 14, some of her work found a place in an advertising campaign for the US shoe company Converse , a subsidiary of the sportswear company Nike . In the meantime she also worked for them and for FIAT .
Bees' work approaches the styles of Nan Goldin , Annie Leibovitz and Ryan McGinley . In 2012, the American photo magazine Photo District News counted her among the 30 young photographers to keep an eye on .
Bee lives and works in Brooklyn , New York City .
